And they say money can't buy you love.

A Polish influencer who goes by the name Marti Renti has sold her digital '“ove” to a stranger for a whopping $250,000 (P12.5M). How, you may ask? Through the trending digital non-fungible token (NFT), of course.

NFTs are files that act as signatures to certify who owns certain online media. Numerous viral memes have since been sold as NFTs, such as Disaster Girl for $500,000 (P24 million) and Overly Attached Girlfriend for $411,000 (P19.8 million), among others

Renti shared through Instagram that she's the first influencer to offer this “one-of-a-kind” asset. Aside from the digital claim to her love, the lucky buyer will also go on a date with Renti.

"Yesterday I sold my first NFT for an incredible amount – I won’t tell you how much, because I don’t believe it myself. I don’t know who bought them yet. Brent, if it’s you, thank you," she had captioned in Polish.

Renti partnered up with creator NFT platform Fanadise to produce the digital asset, with her website claiming that the love NFT is made from her own DNA. Other variants such as  “favorite,” “emotion,” and “relationship” NFTs are also coming soon.

"I always wanted to become the first woman who did something innovative. Something that would be described in history books. I can almost see my face there... Love is a desire to become whole again. And for that purpose you always need the second half," her Digital Love bio reads.

"Even digital things must submit to the everlasting laws that never change... I crafted my Digital Love in the form of a Singular DNA NFT of Marti Renti. If I am to become digitally complete, I need to find someone who'd want to share this DNA with me."

"It can be anyone who's crazy enough to travel with me to this infinite galaxy of digital emotions," she added.

She is currently setting up a subscription-based following for her NFTs, with the two tiers Basic and Real Fan going for $3/month and $25/month, respectively.
