You can always count on Pinoys to find humor when faced with issues and disappointments. Take for example a tweet from Korean-American singer Eric Nam who got a taste of Metro Manila's bad traffic situation.

"manila your traffic is unmatched," he wrote on X, formerly Twitter. The tweet immediately became popular, earning over 1.6 million views, 5,433 retweets, 10,500 Quotes and 54, 700 likes as of writing.

Filipino social media users quick to poked fun at the tweet by quoting it with some graphics portraying man holding the Philippine flag and called it "pinoy pride."

"that's our national treasure and pride," one social media user tweeted

"at least we're number 1 at something. Mabuhey!" another tweet said.

Others felt sorry about the experience of the Korean superstar towards visiting the Philippines, especially during this rainy season.

"There's a typhoon which makes the traffic worse than regular days. Stay safe on the road. Enjoy the traffic, you'll never get to experience being stuck on the road while raining + being hungry in other countries, only here in the Philippines," one Twitter user chided.

Another user apologized to Eric "on behalf of the [country's] poor transport system (and the rain)."

Eric is in Manila for a fan meet event on August 5, Saturday at the Market! Market! in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

This is his second visit to the Philippines in 2023, after performing in Manila for the Asian leg of his "There And Back Again" world tour in November.

Meanwhile, he released his new single House on a Hill and will be going on tour in over 66 cities in North and Latin America this year, and in Europe, Australia, Korea, Southeast Asia, and India next year.

In addition to his music career, Nam is also a popular TV personality in Korea. He hosts the K-pop podcast "Daebak Show," which was named one of Apple Podcasts' Best Listens of 2019.
