Prepare for Nine-Nine’s final ride, as the well-beloved series reaches its culmination.

The poster for the final season of Brookly Nine-Nine has finally been revealed ahead of its August air date.

Seen in the poster are the eight main NYPD squad—Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher), Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz), Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller), and Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker); featuring Holt’s fluffy corgi, Cheddar, and a fan favorite joke.

This season is reported to be the shortest with only 10 episodes, even shorter than the previous season’s 13 episodes. It will tackle the racial inequality and the involvement of cops especially after last year’s Black Lives Matter protests. Viewers can also expect to see Amy and Jake struggle taking care of their newborn while handling their careers.

It has been eight years since the police comedy series premiered on Fox with its witty cold opens, excellent assembly of cast, heartfelt storylines, and of course, the numerous amounts of iconic comedic scenes.

After almost suffering from a cancellation three years ago, this time Brookly Nine-Nine is truly closing its curtains and saying goodbye to its fans.

At the time of the show’s supposed discontinuation on May 10, 2018 with five seasons, thousands of fans online petitioned to save it, proving how popular and cherished Brookly Nine-Nine is. The next day, NBC immediately picked up the series and ordered a sixth season that premiered in January 2019, followed by a seventh season in February 2020.

The final and eighth season is set to premiere in August this year. For now, viewers can look back and catch up with the first up to the seventh season on Netflix.
