Derek Ramsay and Andrea Torres call it quits
After deleting a series of photos they had together in their respective Instagram profiles, Derek Ramsay confirmed that his relationship with Andrea Torres has come to an end.
The two, who worked together for the first time on the TV series The Better Woman, were an item for one year.
Just yesterday, November 19, Ramsay responded to a netizen who claimed that Torres was to blame for their split, noting that the actor has dealt with long-term romances in the past. He, however, was quick to shut it down. “Pls don’t point the finger at anyone. There is nothing wrong with Andrea. She is a great woman,” he wrote in the comments section.
Stressing that the breakup was not caused by a third party, Ramsay declared that while it “happened so fast,” there was no one to blame. “Maybe 2 people are just not meant to be.”
Ramsay appealed to AndRek supporters to respect their decision as this is a private matter. “Pls respect us nalang. We shared our love to all of you sana naman we can keep this to ourselves,” he said, adding that he had to debunk false claims about his now ex-girlfriend as his love for her remains. “Mahal ko si ada kaya di ako magsasalita pero if I hear lies about her I will defend her.”
This is sad news for their fans as just last month, they said in a television interview that they were were ready to take their love to the next level.
As of this writing, Torres has remained tight-lipped on the matter.
