Disney Plus has dropped a first-look image of Hocus Pocus 2, with original stars Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker all reprising their roles as the Sanderson sisters from the original film.

The sequel to the 1993 Halloween cult classic is set to premiere on the streamer in fall 2022.

Disney released the first look at the sequel on Friday (Nov. 12) as a part of its Disney Plus Day events.

Midler, who plays Winifred Sanderson, the eldest witch of the trio, shared the image via Twitter, adding that the sequel is currently in production.

The movie will pick up almost 30 years after the events of the original film.

After inciting the wrath of the three witches, high schoolers Becca (Whitney Peak), Cassie (Lilia Buckingham) and Izzy (Belissa Escobedo) must figure out how to stop them from wreaking havoc on modern day Salem before midnight on Halloween.

Doug Jones will reprise his role as Billy Butcherson, while Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Hannah Waddingham, Juju Brener, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Henderson and Nina Kitchen join the cast.

As reported by ScreenRant, when the sequel was confirmed during Halloween, original Hocus Pocus star, Omri Katz, says he hasn't been asked to reprise his role as Max for the sequel. No confirmation has been given for the return of other original stars Thora Birch, who played his sister Dani, and Vinessa Shaw, who played Allison.

Hocus Pocus 2 is directed by Anne Fletcher, written by Jen D’Angelo, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures.

Filming on the movie is reportedly underway in Rhode Island.
