Attention, rock fans! Get ready to sing your hearts out with songs from your youth as Playback Music Festival brings together popular bands from the 2000s in one night.
The one-night show, happening on May 8, 2025, will see Boys Like Girls, The Click Five, and Secondhand Serenade take the stage at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
The festival won't just feature performances as there will be activities like food booths, pop-up bars, photobooth, festival merch, and official artist merch.
Tickets start at P4,500 for Silver (standing), P7,950 for Gold (standing), P9,000 for Platinum Moshpit (standing), and P10,000 for Platinum reserved seating. They are available through TicketMelon beginning Dec. 21, 11 a.m.
Secondhand Serenade is known for hits Fall for You, Your Call, Vulnerable, Stay Close, Don't Go, and Awake. In 2007, the one-man band became the top trending artist on Myspace.
On the other hand, The Click Five gained popularity in the 2000s for their songs Just the Girl, Jenny, Empty, Happy Birthday, and Catch Your Wave. The band last performed in Manila in May 2008.
Boys Like Girls, who went mainstream for Love Drunk, The Great Escape, and Two Is Better Than One, eyes a Manila return after their sold-out show at the Araneta Coliseum in April 2024.
Organizers Playback Music Festival took to Facebook to explain to fans their choice of venue.
"We know this is different from the usual concerts but we're out to make a good festival show. As much as we want to consider the venues you're mentioning, it doesn't align with available schedules. However, we have a lot of great things in store for you. We surely hope to still see you on May 8th," it said.
