BTS makes history (again) as first all-Asian band on ‘Rolling Stone,’ gets 8 individual cover spreads

It seems like everything K-pop group BTS touches turns to gold, or in the case of the June issue of Rolling Stone—multiplies.

Coming in the heels of their single Butter dropping on May 21, the US music magazine is slated to feature the 7-piece Korean group for their 2021 “The Future of Music” issue.

The upcoming cover serves as the magazine's first time to have an all-Asian act in its 54-year history.

"BTS’ downright magical levels of charisma, their genre-defying, sleek-but-personal music, even their casually nontoxic, skin-care-intensive brand of masculinity—every bit of it feels like a visitation from some brighter, more hopeful timeline," Rolling Stone's Brian Hiatt divulges in the exclusive interview.

Aside from the cover story, the June issue will also sell 7 separate covers featuring individual tell-all interviews from members RM, Suga, Jin, V, Jimin, Jungkook, and J-Hope.

Rolling Stone has been slowly rolling out the cover reveals as of late, as they’ve only showcased members J-Hope, Jin, and Jimin for now.

The BTSxRollingStone Collector's Edition Box Set featuring all eight magazine covers is available for preorder at $150, or around P7,100,  on rollingstone.com.
