Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, wants to restore his family this holiday season.

While dropping by the L.A. Mission homeless shelter on Nov. 24, the 44-year-old rapper gave an emotional speech about the importance of being with loved ones.

"Now it's time to restore the families this Thanksgiving. It's all about restoring the family. This morning, I felt so blessed to wake up, to work out, be able to drive to my house, and see my wife and my kids," he said.

"That's right. I said my wife and my children. I want everyone to pray for my family," Ye added, talking about estranged wife Kim Kardashian and kids North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

It seems like the Donda rapper wants to reconcile with Kardashian who has recently gone public about dating comedian Pete Davidson.

"I've made mistakes. I've done things that were not acceptable as a husband, but I'm here to change that," he said.

After six years of marriage, Kardashian filed for divorce from Ye. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star kept their $23 million home in the divorce proceedings. The rapper said that he has a house next-door to be next to his children as much as possible. "I'm doing everything to be right next to the situation...I need to be back at home," he said.

Not ready to give up on his marriage

The Grammy-winning artist also passionately talked about uniting families and got religious about it. "I'm only saying this because if the enemy can separate Kimye, there are going to be millions of families that feel like that separation is okay."

"When God brings Kimye together, there's going to be millions of families that are going to be influenced and see that they can overcome the work of separation," he said.

When rumors about Kardashian dating Davidson first emerged, Ye expressed that he wasn't ready to give up on his marriage on Revolt TV's Drink Champs

"At the end of the day, I ain't got the paperwork yet, so I'm going to come on this joint and try to save my family and keep my family together," the Yeezy founder said.

He added that their four children "want their parents to stay together."
