You can rent an entire movie house just for you and your loved ones—here's how
SM Cinema is making its theaters available for block screening, allowing groups of up to 20 to watch a film on the big screen with their friends and family.
This new offering comes as the movie theater industry has been hit hard by the pandemic, forcing establishments to close and delay films for showing. But even though cinemas have finally reopened in Metro Manila, there are still some people who may not be comfortable sharing a theater with people they don't know.
With this limited time offer, you can rent an entire movie house for as low as P5,200. The Book-A-Theater promo is from Nov. 17 to Dec. 24 and is valid only to all SM Cinema Director’s Club theaters, including SM Aura, SM North EDSA, SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, SM Grand Central, SM BF Parañaque, SM Southmall, and SM Fairview.
To reserve a slot, fill out this form and choose your preferred date and location. Do note that you should book and pay four days ahead of the private screening, otherwise schedule will be released for public viewing.
For off-peak hours (Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.), the rate of the theater is P5,200 for a total of 12 pax, while for peak hours (Monday to Thursday 5:01 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. and whole day Friday to Sunday), bookings are at P7,700 for 18 up to 20 pax, depending on the venue.
In the event that customer wishes to add an additional person, and as long as it is within the maximum customer allowed by IATF, a ticket price of P450 per head shall be collected.
Same strict guidelines are to be followed as public viewing: only fully vaccinated individuals are permitted inside and food and drinks are not allowed in the cinema. Drinking water may be brought inside in case of possible emergencies.
