HONOR 200 Series, Samsung Galaxy Unpacked, and other tech launches to watch this July

New Android devices are coming!

It's the second half of the year and tech companies from all over the world are bumping up their lineups with new gadgets for those who are looking for a mid-year upgrade.

PhilSTAR L!fe has rounded up some of the latest tech news and launches to expect this July which include the HONOR 200 series, Realme 13 Pro series, and new devices from Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked

In the latter part of June, Samsung announced that it is holding its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10 in Paris, France.

The tech giant teased that the launch will bring the "next frontier of Galaxy AI." It also hinted that it is launching the newest Galaxy Z series phones.

You can catch the coming Galaxy Unpacked event on Samsung's social media pages. The brand is also offering exclusive vouchers and a chance to win a 65-inch Samsung Neo QLED 4K TV for those who register through its website.

HONOR 200 Series

The HONOR 200 series is coming to the Philippines on July 17. 

Touted as an "AI Portrait Master," the device features a triple 50-megapixel camera, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, and 5,200mAH battery.

The camera is equipped with AI features like enhanced Night Portrait Mode, adjusting bokeh, and a memories highlight.

JBL Soundgear Frames

Sunglasses that double as earphones?

JBL introduced the Soundgear Frames, a pair of shades that can play music when you wear them.

There are no in-ear earphones of any sort on this device but it has small speakers hidden in the temples that play audio.

The Soundgear Frames offer eight hours of battery life, and IP54 water resistance, and come in three colors of Amber, Pearl, and Onyx.

It's priced at P9,499 and is available at Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Abenson, and Data Blitz

OPPO Reno12 Series 5G

OPPO is also unveiling two new smartphones in the country, the Reno12 5G and Reno12 Pro 5G, which pack AI imaging features like AI Eraser 2.0 for removing photobombers in the background, Smart Lasso, and Paint Over.

The vanilla version features a 6.7-inch 120Hz curved display, a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor, a Dimensity 7300 chip, and a 5,000mAh battery. It's also said to be tougher thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i display.

Both phones will officially launch on July 12.

Realme 13 Pro Series

Another smartphone maker puts the spotlight on AI as the Realme 13 Pro series is slated to be unveiled on July 4.

The company said that the upcoming device is its "first professional AI camera phone."

Other details about the device are still being kept under wraps but the teaser image showed a camera bump with a "HYPERIMAGE+" branding.

nubia Music

Looking for a colorful smartphone to match your playful vibe? Meet the nubia Music, a new budget phone that packs personality.

This device, which comes in Pop Art and Zeel Orange colorways, features a big vinyl record next to its camera, staying true to its music theme.
