WATCH: Fil-Am magician gets four ‘yes’ votes from judges in ‘America’s Got Talent’
A Filipino-American wowed the judges and the entire audience in America’s Got Talent with her magic tricks and impeccable charm.
In one of the recent episodes of the talent competition, Anna De Guzman interacted with judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel as she did cardistry, which she described as the “manipulation of playing cards.”
“Growing up as an only child with a single mother, I spent a lot of time learning how to entertain myself,” she shared on stage. “When I found my first deck of cards, I was instantly captivated by the magic they seem to possess.”
Anna went on to do some tricks as she asked the judges to take part in her performance and pick some cards for her from time to time. She was able to captivate the panel and pull everything off in the end. “I did not think it was gonna work!” she said.
“It was the most adorable, fun, magical thing I’ve seen so far this season,” said Howie.
“I agree with Howie. You’re totally a breath of fresh air. You showed us some magic we haven’t seen before,” added Heidi, “and you have a million-dollar smile on your face.”
The 24-year-old has been doing magic “for five to six years,” but noted that she sees “magical things happen all the time.”
Before AGT, Anna showcased her talent in various shows like MTV’s Amazingness, The Steve Harvey Show, and CW’s Penn & Teller: Fool Us. She also took part in Australia’s Got Talent in 2022.
