Netflix unveils first look photos from ‘Money Heist’ final season

Netflix has released the first official photos from the upcoming fifth season of Money Heist (La Casa de Papel), providing fans a closer look at what’s to come in the highly-awaited final installment of Álex Pina’s widely-popular Spanish crime drama series. 

In the images below, we see Tokyo, Lisbon, and the rest of the gang prepare for a war inside the Bank of Spain. The Professor, meanwhile, finds himself at gunpoint after Sierra (Najwa Nimri) discovers his hideout.

In the final season of Money Heist, the gang has been shut in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours. To make matters worse, an enemy comes on the scene that is much more powerful than any they’ve faced: the army. 

The streaming giant previously announced that the 10-part series finale will be released in two volumes. The first five episodes will premiere on September 3 while the remaining episodes will be available on Netflix on December 3.

Netflix previously revealed that the Spanish crime drama's final season will include fresh new faces in the story. The streaming giant said that Miguel Ángel Silvestre (Sense 8) and Patrick Criado will join the rest of the crew which includes Álvaro Morte (The Professor), Itziar Ituño (Lisbon), Úrsula Coberó (Tokyo), Pedro Alonso (Berlin), Miguel Herrán (Rio), Jaime Lorente (Denver), Esther Acebo (Stockholm), Darko Peric (Helsinki), Hovik Keuchkerian (Bogotá), Luka Peros (Marseille), Belén Cuesta (Manila), and Rodrigo de la Serna (Palermo).
