The former politician previously mentioned he would use his winnings from the event to provide shelter to the homeless in the Philippines as well as war victims in Ukraine.

The exhibition bout marked his “comeback to the ring” since he announced his retirement from the sport in 2021. Before the fight, he said he wanted to “prove that Manny Pacquiao is still there in boxing.”

The world champion, who boasts a 62-8-2 record, once admitted: "I felt lonely when I retired from boxing."
