Fully Booked's Free Comic Book Day is set for May 10
Mark your calendars, comic book fans! Fully Booked is holding its annual Free Comic Book Day on May 10.
The beloved bookstore shared a teaser for the upcoming event on social media.
Based on its poster, enthusiasts can expect to score free comic titles from franchises like Transformers, Minecraft, Archie, Star Wars, The Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Energon Universe, and Kagurabachi.
While other details have yet to be announced, Fully Booked said that it is bringing Eisner Award-winning artist Dustin Nguyen to Manila on Free Comics Book Day.
Nguyen, known for working for DC Comics and Wildstorm, will hold an exclusive Arts of Comics Masterclass at Fully Booked Bonifacio High Street from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and a meet-and-greet from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on May 10.
Registration fee for the masterclass is P2,000, and those interested may sign up here.
In 2024, the bookstore gave away free random comic books to enthusiasts who came into its stores in Luzon and Metro Manila. It also offered discounts and promos on D-coded titles under Graphic Novel and Manga, Graphic Novel and Manga Children’s, Adult Science-Fiction/Fantasy, and Film & Media.
This April, Fully Booked is also celebrating World Book Day with an Ink Trail where you can create a bookstore memento using a special stamp at different branches, and Reading Room on April 24 to 25 in BGC. It's also holding events featuring Chalky the Chameleon writer Stephanie Zubiri and illustrator Vico Cham, K-Dramas Can Transform Your Life author Jeanie Chang, LMFT, and Water Moon author Samantha Sotto Yambao.
