Attention, CARATs: SEVENTEEN adds second show to ‘Follow’ concert

Heads up, Carats! K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN is adding another show to the Philippine leg of its Follow concert tour.

The group's agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, first made the announcement on the fan community platform WeVerse on Tuesday, Nov. 14. It is scheduled for January 14, 2024, a day after the first scheduled concert.

Local event organizer Live Nation Philippines said that tickets will go on sale starting Nov. 16 via SM Tickets. The new show will also be staged at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan.

The move comes after Filo Carats clamored for another show during the K-pop group's stay in the country.

The concert will mark SEVENTEEN’s first return to the Philippines in more than a year after their historic Be The Sun Bulacan concert last December 2022 at the Philippine Arena. The group made history as the first solo K-pop act to headline a show at the world’s largest indoor arena.

The 13-man act also held a two-night sold-out show at the Mall of Asia Arena last October 8 and 9 of the same year.

SEVENTEEN made a comeback last Oct. 23, with their eight-track extended play (EP) Seventeenth Heaven. The upbeat record serves as a celebration of the band's career thus far. Reports say it logged more than 5.2 million copies in preorders, the biggest for any K-pop album.

Moreover, SEVENTEEN held its own session at this year’s UNESCO Youth Forum in Paris, making the group the first K-Pop act to host their own session in the international youth forum.

SEVENTEEN debuted in 2015 under PLEDIS Entertainment. The group is known for their hits Aju Nice, Home, Don’t Wanna Cry, Hot and Super.
