‘Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves’ Collection coming to PS5 and PC
Two classics from the Uncharted action-adventure video game franchise are coming to the PlayStation 5 console and PC in early 2022 with the release of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.
The announcement was made Thursday (Sept. 9) during the PlayStation Showcase 2021, along with a gameplay trailer.
The brand-new remastered bundle includes Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which features the worthy conclusion to Nathan Drake's story.
The fourth mainline game in the hit series released in 2016 features the former treasure hunter coaxed out of retirement by his presumed-dead brother Samuel. The brothers hunt for Captain Avery’s long-lost treasure, setting off for one final far-flung adventure across the jungles of Madagascar to long lost pirate colony of Libertalia.
The remastered bundle also includes Uncharted: The Lost Legacy a standalone expansion where players control treasure hunter Chloe Frazer. Enlisting the assistance of mercenary Nadine Ross, Chloe ventures to India’s Western Ghats to search for the Tusk of Ganesh in the Western Ghats mountain ranges of India. The 2017 title is the first Uncharted game not to feature Nathan Drake as the main protagonist.
The Uncharted series, which launched in 2007, has remained a PlayStation console exclusive through much of its lifespan. This marks the first time the game is coming to PCs.
“Needless to say, we’re pretty excited that more players will get the chance to meet (and fall in love with) Nathan, Chloe, Nadine and the rest of the cast in the UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection,” developer Naughty Dog said in a blog post.
With the Uncharted prequel film starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake due out soon, there's no doubt that next-gen console owners and PC players will be eager to live (or relive) Drake's and Chloe's adventures when the collection comes out.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be available in early 2022 for PS5. No specific time frame has been given, but the PC version is reportedly in development by the studio's partners at Iron Galaxy and will release shortly after the PS5 version.
