“It’s not my loss. #truth”

That’s how Kris Aquino seemingly responded to a netizen who reminded her that she is loved, even after her breakup with former DILG Secretary Mel Sarmiento.

In an Instagram post, the Queen of All Media—who has been struggling with an autoimmune disease since 2018—shared an update on her medical condition and life in general.

“Mahaba pa ang laban ko to strengthen my body & heal my broken heart… BUT from childhood I already knew, for me weakness could never be an option… especially NOW because I have kuya josh & bimb who still need me to love, care, and provide for them,” she wrote. “Para sa dalawang pinakamamahal ko, hindi ako susuko.”

Aside from the support she received from her nearest and dearest, netizens were also quick to send her some love. “GET WELL SOON MADAM, ALWAYS REMEMBER MADAMI NAG MAMAHAL SAYO KAHIT WALA SI ***,” an IG user wrote in the comment section, with the hashtag #lovelovelove. Seemingly alluding to Sarmiento, who has a three-letter first name, Aquino gave a straightforward response, saying it’s not her loss.

Aquino confirmed her breakup with Sarmiento early this month as she talked about her health condition, which affected her romance with her ex-fiance as per the screenshots she shared. She also requested “for some respect for my humanity and privacy now and in the coming months when I fight for my health… because I was BRAVE enough to show you and tell you the TRUTH.”
