Robot vacuums can do a lot more than just take in dirt from the floor. The latest flagship device from Roborock is equipped with a robotic arm to pick up bigger items.
When it comes across an object on the floor, a small door opens up on top of the vacuum to let out a robotic arm, which can lift up stuff like socks, sandals, and small towels weighing under 300 grams.
In a preview before CES, Roborock told The Verge that the Saros Z70 will detect and mark objects it can lift in its first cleaning run. It returns to the area, moving items to another place that has been cleaned. Users can also program the device to put away the objects in a designated area through the Roborock app.

While augmented reality glasses have their display built into the lens, Halliday's smart glasses project a 3.5-inch screen into the user's field of view. This is done through its "DigiWindow" placed on the upper right of the frame.
In its demo, Halliday showed that the glasses work with an AI assistant for real-time translations for up to 40 languages, provide a teleprompter for notes, and share notifications. The frames can also come with a prescription.
A humanoid robot that packs into a suitcase
CES wouldn't be complete without humanoid robots. Canadian company Realbotix unveiled its newest robotic technology, named Melody, at the Las Vegas event.
Melody delivers smoother, more fluid, human-like movements, according to the company. She also has advanced body mobility to perform gestures and walk. Her body parts are also interchangeable for greater customization, and long-term maintenance.
Additionally, she folds up easily so users can take her as a companion anywhere.

What if you could switch between a keyboard and a trackpad without having to lift your palms? This question was answered by Autokeybo as it unveiled its nifty device at CES 2025.
The device features a split keyboard design which retracts when you hold out your hand over it. It then switches over to a trackpad on the right and the numpad on the left for uninterrupted workflow.
According to the company's website, AutoKeybo is able to do this thanks to its AI Machine Vision. It also includes an onboard computer with its own HDMI and USB-C ports.
Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6
At CES 2025, Lenovo unveiled a new line of smart products. Among them, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 stands out—this laptop has a rollable screen extending the display.
Opened, the AI laptop has a 14-inch OLED screen. With a press of a button, it expands into a taller 16.7-inch display, providing more room for documents and workspaces.
This device isn't just all about looks as it comes with Copilot+ for AI features to support creating content and processing data.
Sony’s immersive entertainment concept
Sony wants to take gaming to the next level. The makers of the PlayStation took the wraps off conceptual technology that lets players see, shoot, and smell in video game worlds like The Last of Us.
According to a video on Sony's YouTube channel, the proof-of-concept project combines the latest "Location Based Technologies with Sony Crystal LED panels, engaging audio, haptics, scent and atmospherics" to fully immerse the player in the story. Unlike VR, this concept puts users inside a cube with controllers that look like weapons to shoot at the clickers.

Ever wonder what it would look like if the "anik-anik" on your bag came alive? Enter Mirumi, a furry little robot that you can clip on your purse or backpack.
Designed by Japanese startup Yukai Engineering, this companion bot has sensors to detect and engage with nearby people or objects. It turns its head and reacts to different scenarios. For instance, if you engage with it for the first time, it will get shy and hide its face. Afterward, it will cautiously peek out and maybe shake its head when you jiggle it.
