The cast of the live-action adaptation of One Piece has sailed to South Africa to officially start filming the show's second season.

In a promotional video posted by Netflix, Iñaki Godoy, who portrays Monkey D. Luffy, joyfully reunited with his co-stars Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar in the country's capital, Cape Town.

Mackenyu, Rudd, Gibson, and Skylar star as members of the Straw Hat Pirates Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji respectively.

The clip ends with Netflix confirming that the production of Season 2 has officially started.

The announcement comes days after the streaming giant unveiled the upcoming season's new cast members. Among them are Daniel Lasker (Raised by Wolves) as Mr. 9, Camrus Johnson (Batwoman) as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn (Warrior) as Miss Valentine, and David Dastmalchian (Late Night With The Devil) as Mr. 3.

Werner Coester (Getroud Met Rugby) will appear on the show as Dorry, Brendan Murray (Raised by Wolves) as Brogy, and Clive Russell (Game of Thrones) as Crocus.

Callum Kerr (Monarch), Julia Rehwald (Star Wars Young Jedi Adventures), Rob Colletti (The Many Saints of Newark), and Ty Keogh (24 Hours To Live) will also be part of its sophomore season as Smoker, Tashigi, Wapol, and Dalton, respectively.

Additional cast members and roles will be revealed at a later date.

The live-action One Piece is based on the beloved Japanese manga series created by Eiichiro Oda. It follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, an enthusiastic pirate who gathers a crew to find the legendary fabled treasure, "One Piece," and become King of the Pirates.

But the journey to find it is no easy feat, as the Straw Hat Pirates must now search every inch of the vast blue seas, outpace the Marines hunting them down, and outwit dangerous rivals at every turn.

The first season was released on Netflix on Aug. 31 last year. Due to positive ratings, the show was renewed two weeks after its premiere.
