Heads up, BLINKS: An immersive BLACKPINK experience is coming to Roblox this August
Heads up BLINKS! Get ready to have yet another round of online fun with favorite K-pop girl group, as BLACKPINK THE PALACE is coming to global game platform Roblox on Aug. 25.
In this game, BLINKs can gather together to host parties, dance and talk about everything BLACKPINK beyond the constraints of time and space.
Built by metaverse studio Karta, BLACKPINK THE PALACE is the group’s first immersive experience in Roblox that is anticipated to get upgrades with fresh materials all year long.
What to expect?
BLINKS would have the chance to experience and explore the grand pastel palace that features interactive scenes including decorating and hosting parties for their friends in rooms. It will remind them of some scenes from the group's most popular music videos, including DDU-DU DDU-DU" and Pink Venom.
The DDU-DU DDU-DU room, for instance, will hold Jennie's giant chess board and black tank as well as Lisa's bank vault. These would be part of the update, according to Mashable.
Players can earn in-game currency from sparkling crystals in addition to the music video feature. These crystals can be found in the caverns that can be smashed with the use of a replica of BLACKPINK's light stick as a hammer.
The more currency the players collect, the better it will be for them to decorate their parties with items, like balloons, chairs, and tables, that come in the K-pop girl group's signature colors.
Of course, any memorable fan experience will not be completed without taking pictures. Players can take selfies with in-game avatars of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa and purchase the band's signature Pink Venom outfits and emotes for their own avatars.
