Eraserheads—composed of Ely Buendia, Marcus Adoro, Raimund Marasigan, and Buddy Zabala—broke up in 2002. They teased about a possible reunion in October 2021 when Buendia said they would make a comeback if former Vice President Leni Robredo ran for president. He later backtracked and said it was a "half-serious" joke when Robredo formalized her bid.
They eventually reunited and performed at a sold-out SMDC Festival Grounds venue in 2022. They also held a "Huling El Bimbo" world tour, which took them to the USA, Canada, Singapore, Dubai, Doha, Australia, and New Zealand.
Their documentary film, Eraserheads: Combo on the Run, was recently screened in cinemas from March 21 to 23.
