‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ & other Sony films get AXN Asia release

The latest Sony films released in theaters including Spider-Man: No Way Home, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Uncharted, Morbius and Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be airing on the general entertainment channel AXN Asia in key terrtirories including the Philippines.

Following their theatrical runs and home entertainment windows, fans will be able to enjoy worldwide hits on AXN Asia in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, and more starting next month.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will kick-off AXN Asia's movie slate offerings starting June 12.

 

Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of MARVEL's greatest and most complex characters. Directed by Andy Serkis, and written by Kelly Marcel with the story by Tom Hardy and Marcel, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage. 

Venom: Let There Be Carnage opened at $90.1 million in the US, outgrossing the first Venom’s opening weekend and went on to make $506 million worldwide. The movie was originally screened in Philippine theaters last Dec. 8, 2021. 

In case you haven't had a chance to catch it on the big screen yet throughout its extended run or through digital purchases, Spider-Man: No Way Home, will also premiere on AXN Asia. The 6th highest-grossing film of all time globally at $1.9 billion opened in Philippine theaters last Jan. 8, 2022.

Other films that will premiere on AXN Asia this year include Uncharted, (currently the 4th highest-grossing video game adaptation worldwide, closing in on $400 million globally), Morbius (an introduction to the studio's standalone genre characters from its Marvel canon), and the next chapter in the original “Ghostbusters” universe, Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will air on June 12, on AXN (Cignal Ch. 121, SKYcable HD Ch. 247, SKYcable SD Ch. 49, GSAT Ch. 57 and various provincial cable operators nationwide.

No release dates have been given for the other Sony films, but the titles will premiere on AXN Asia throughout the year.
