FarmVille is shutting down after 11 incredible years, its creator Zynga announced on Saturday, September 26.

The news came after Adobe’s announcement that it will cease Flash Player distribution and update for all web browsers. Due to this, Facebook will no longer support Flash games after December 31, impacting the well-loved game’s operations.

“We’re aware that many of you have been with us since the very beginning, helping to build an incredible global community of players over the years who’ve enjoyed this game as much as we have. For that we say thank you,” the post read.

In-app purchases will be available on the application until Nov. 17, and FarmVille users may still play the game until the end of the year. “Any remaining credits that you have during this period should be used before Dec. 31, 2020,” said Zynga.

Currently, Zynga is coming up with “fun in-game” activities that will keep the game up and exciting until its closure. “We look forward to you joining us in Farmville 2: Tropic Escape and the upcoming worldwide launch of FarmVille 3 on mobile,” the social game developer concluded.

Thank you is a small word but when fertilized with love and beautiful memories it means the world to us. So here’s a great BIG THANK YOU for farming with us through it all. Click here: http://bit.ly/Farmv
