Philippine Book Festival to take place in June and August
Attention, bookworms! The country will be holding its largest traveling book festival in June and August.
The National Book Development Board on April 19 announced that the Philippine Book Festival will take place at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay from June 2 to 4.
The second edition will be held at SMX Davao on Aug. 18 to 20, according to another post from the National Museum.
The Philippine Book Festival will feature a meet and greet with authors, as well as book readings and signing sessions; sale of Filipino books from hundreds of publishers; as well as talks and workshops about reading and publishing.
There will also be a book nook for audiences to browse and read, live performances from actors and storytellers, writing workshops led by industry experts, literary debates and discussions, and an exploration of digital publishing and e-books.
Families may even engage in storytelling sessions, create their own family book, and enjoy special tours.
The event is free of charge.
"It's not just a book fair, it's a book experience!" the NBDB said in a post.
