Walter White's house in 'Breaking Bad' is up for sale for $4 million
The house used as Walter White's home in Breaking Bad has been put up for sale.
The residence, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is listed for a cool $4 million (PhP233 million). The 1,910 sq. ft. ranch-style home has four bedrooms and one bathroom.
In the popular series, which ran from 2006 to 2018, Walter (Bryan Cranston), his wife Skylar (Anna Gunn), and his son Walter Jr. (RJ Mitte) lived in the house. The show followed the story of an underpaid high school chemistry teacher. After he is diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer, Walter turns to a life of crime and gets involved in the local methamphetamine drug trade to provide for his family.
Joanne Quintana, who grew up in the home used for the series, shared that their residence has since become a tourist spot for fans, who would recreate moments from the show.
However, there were some fans who would cross the line.
"Around 4:30 in the morning [one day], the doorbell rang. My mom got up and opened the door, and it was a package. [The package was addressed to Walter White at the Padilla family’s home, so they called the bomb squad]," Quintana told KOB 4.
"My brothers said that’s it, we’re done, [the] fence is going up. That’s too close for comfort is the front door."
She also shared that their home had an average of 300 cars visiting per day.
"This was our family home from 1973, almost 52 years. So we're going to walk away with just our memories. It's time to move on. We're done."
"There's no reason to fight anymore. I hope they make it what the fans want. They want a BnB, they want a museum, they want access to it. Go for it."
