DECODED: Unlocking Taylor Swift's new songs for ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’
Have you unlocked the Vault?
Taylor Swift has once again taken Swifties on a tangent after she dropped a new video teaser for Red (Taylor’s Version) coming this November 19.
Upping her game after fans quickly deciphered the “from the vault” tracks from Fearless (Taylor’s Version), her latest video showcases a puzzle that took fans on a wild crossword ride.
In case you didn't know, Red (Taylor’s Version) is her second album remaster after a longtime legal dispute with her former label, Big Machine Records. Rereleasing her old songs under the guise of being Taylor's Version is also the artist's way to rival the sales of her old recordings.
Swift has long been a fan of teasing her upcoming projects, but she decided to go “casually cruel in the name of being honest” for this one. The phrase is a lyric from one of the album's songs, All Too Well - or in this case, a description for her sneakiness level.
The short clip looms in on a red vault before seemingly random letters scramble out as quickly as they disappear.
Swifties immediately did a word scramble search as they tried to decode some clues, and soon discovered that unlike the Fearless vault, there are more layers to this latest teaser.

Too tired to answer the puzzle? Fear not, as here's the full From The Vault tracklist, decoded:
- Ronan
- Better Man
- Nothing New feat. Phoebe Bridgers
- Babe
- Message in a Bottle
- I Bet You Think About Me feat. Chris Stapleton
- Forever Winter

Some of the tracks serve as longtime unreleased tracks from Swift, such as Ronan, Better Man, and Babe. The teaser also confirms a ten-minute version of the heartwrenching song, All Too Well.
Meanwhile, Run will serve as a new duet for Swift and Sheeran, as the pair have rerecorded the song Everything Has Changed from the same album.
Fans can also write in their guesses on taylorswift.com for a special surprise. When you put in those titles accordingly, a photo filter will appear reading “I UNLOCKED THE VAULT.” Swift also took to Instagram a few hours later to showcase the coveted filter with her cat, Olivia Benson.
