Bridget Jones is back to tell her story.

Academy Award winner Renee Zellweger will reprise her iconic role in the new film, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, the fourth installment in the beloved Bridget Jones's Diary series.

Hugh Grant, who wasn’t in the third sequel, will return to portray Daniel Cleaver, Bridget’s former boss and lover, as with Emma Thompson.

The movie series will also welcome new casts Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodal from The White Lotus.

Micheal Morris, who directed To Leslie, is said to direct the film with Helen Fielding as the scriptwriter.

Universal Pictures and British Film Working Title will be collaborating for the return of the romantic comedy movie series that is set to be released in February 2025.

The Bridget Jones film series, based on Helen Fielding's 1996 novel, follows the misadventures of Bridget Jones navigating love triangles with Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) and Mark Darcy (Colin Firth).

The series began in 2001 and continued with Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004) exploring her complicated relationship with Mark. The most recent film, Bridget Jones's Baby (2016), surprised fans with a marriage to Mark and a twist involving Daniel.
