Marvel's 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' heading to Disney+ in May
Marvel fans who missed watching Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania can now jump into the Quantum Realm with the super-hero duo as Disney is releasing the film on its streaming app next month.
Marvel and its mother company, Walt Disney Studios, announced the news on April 27, saying, "Ant-Man’s biggest adventure arrives on Disney+. Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is streaming May 17."
Its online premiere comes three months after Quantumania dropped in theaters worldwide on Feb. 17.
The film is the third installment of the Ant-Man franchise and the first of Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 5.
It follows Scott Lang aka Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne or The Wasp (Evengline Lilly) as they venture into the Quantum Realm along with Hope's parents Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), as well as Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton).
There, they face off against MCU's powerful big bad, Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), in his first appearance as the universe's biggest villain.
The film, directed by Peyton Reed and produced by Kevin Feige, also stars David Dastmalchian as Veb, Katy O’Brian as Jentorra, William Jackson Harper as Quaz, and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar.
In other Marvel news, the studio gave a glimpse of South Korean actor Park Seo Joon's MCU debut in the first trailer of The Marvels.
