ICYMI: Metrobank powers Asia Artist Awards 2023, gives PH K-pop fans the ultimate hallyu experience for Christmas

Filipino K-pop and K-drama fans are still on a high from the events of Asia Artist Awards 2023, which saw NewJeans taking home the biggest awards, &TEAM performing GENTO with SB19, Melai Cantiveros-Francisco giving a hilarious acceptance speech, and BSS (SEVENTEEN) ending the night with a show-stopping performance of their songs “7PM” and “Fighting”.
Breathing the same air as Lee Jun-ho (King of the Land) and Kim Se-jeong (Uncanny Counter) in the Philippine Arena is a core memory for every fan who grew up watching Lovers in Paris or stanning Super Junior. Metrobank, the official bank partner of the AAA, together with PULP Live World, gave Filipino K-fans an unforgettable experience by bringing the biggest hallyu event of the year.
Before the event, Metrobank had booths at the Fanzone area at the Philippine Sports Stadium. PhilSTAR Life caught Lyra Sicad, a Stray Kids and SB19 fan, enjoying Metrobank’s “Dear Bias” booth.
“As soon as I saw Metrobank’s booth, I approached it because we got to post messages to our idols,” she said. “I used my Metrobank credit card for the pre-sale. It’s actually a very smooth transaction. I bought my ticket around 12:10 pm, and I instantly got a ticket.”
Over at Metrobank’s Tiktok booth, Jeff Villanueva was recording a dance cover of NewJeans’ Super Shy. A BPO worker, he attended the show so he could see NewJeans, Le Sserafim, and ZEROBASEONE perform live.
“Very beneficial po ‘yung Metrobank credit card since nga may privilege po na bumili agad ng seats and walang hassle so malaking salamat talaga sa Metrobank,” he told PhilSTAR Life then went back to do another KPop dance at the booth.
Apart from the “Dear Bias” and K-pop booths, Metrobank also had a replica of the bus stop usually seen in K-dramas. All three booths upped K-pop fans’ game during the event with IG-worthy snaps and reels.
These were made possible by Metrobank’s exclusive pre-ticket sale and a raffle promo for Metrobank credit cardholders that gave them VIP and UBC premium tickets.
