EXO’s Kai has finally been discharged from the military.

His label SM Entertainment announced that the K-pop star finished his military service as a public service worker on Monday, Feb. 10, according to a report by The Korea Herald.

Kai enlisted in the military in May 2023 and underwent five weeks of basic military training before serving as a public service worker.

Following his return, EXO’s official pages announced that the K-pop idol would hold a livestream event KAI : Happily Ever After on YouTube, TikTok, and Weverse on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. (Philippine time).

Kai, whose real name is Kim Jong-in, is the seventh member of the group to enlist in the military, following Baekhyun who finished his military service in February 2023. Sehun, the group’s youngest member, is the remaining EXO member currently under mandatory military service. He is set to be discharged in September this year.

Kai's last music release before enlisting in the military was his third solo mini album Rover, which includes the songs Rover, Black Mirror, and Bomba, among others.

He's the main dancer of K-pop boy group EXO, consisting of members Suho, Xiumin, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., and Sehun. They debuted in 2012 and are known for the songs Growl, Love Shot, and Call Me Baby, among others.
