Justin Bieber expressed his gratitude to the Philippines as a popular mall's iconic landmark greeted him on his birthday last March 1. As icing on the cake, netizens made sure to send him lovin' through the trademark Pinoy humor.

On March 3, the already 28-year-old Bieber shared a photo of the SM Mall of Asia Globe which showed, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTIN BIEBER."

"Thank you, Philippines," the singer wrote.

Universal Music Group Philippines also shared a video of the globe showing snippets of Bieber.

In their element, Pinoy netizens wished Bieber a happy birthday in the comments section of his post—laced with sundry wisecracks.

"Wala bang shanghai dyarn? Painom ka nemen," one user wrote. Shanghai is considered a staple in Pinoy celebrations, while birthday celebrants are typically expected to treat barkadas, especially with liquor. "Shot puno mahal," another user added, referring to chugging a round.

"Pengeng ispagiti at salad ha padala dine sa bahay," another user quipped, referring to spaghetti and salad oft served during Pinoy parties.

"Welcome beh. May graham kayo?" another user asked in jest, referring to the dessert that uses graham crackers, which usually has mangoes as key ingredient.

"hbd lods punta ka dito overnight samen, sama mo si mareng hailey," one user said, referring to Bieber's wife.

"may natira pa bang handa? di pa naman siguro panis, penge ako," another one chipped in, referring to the Filipino household practice of making leftovers last for days.

"happy birthday justin, next na lsm di mo rin nmn mapapansin," one user joked, referring to long sweet messages one may send to a beloved on special occasions like birthdays.

"hbd ex sana masaya ka," another user commented as Bieber was supposedly her ex-boyfriend.

Bieber's post has 326,000 reactions, 40,000 comments, and 345 shares and counting.

SM Mall of Asia Globe has had a practice of greeting foreign celebrities during their special day in the past. Among the notable recipients were Hyun Bin, Son Ye Jin, and Yeontan, the pet dog of BTS' V.
