BLACKPINK's Lisa to become first K-pop idol to perform at the Oscars
BLACKPINK's Lisa is set to make her Oscars debut.
The Academy Awards announced on Tuesday, Feb. 25 that she will perform at its 97th edition alongside Doja Cat and Raye.
Lisa will be the first K-pop artist to take the Oscars stage.

The trio recently collaborated on the song, Born Again, but the award-giving body clarified that they will not be performing the hit song.
“Not Born Again! But still legendary. Stay tuned,” it wrote on X.
Also performing at the event are Queen Latifah, and Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.
The 97th Academy Awards will be hosted by Conan O’Brien. Among the presenters are Amy Poehler, Scarlett Johansson, Whoopi Goldberg, Halle Berry, Selena Gomez, Joe Alwyn, and Oprah Winfrey, among others.
The event will be held on Monday, March 3 (PH Time) at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. The red carpet will start at 7:30 a.m., followed by the awards ceremony at 8 a.m.
Filipino fans may watch it live via Disney+.
Lisa currently stars in the third season of Max's The White Lotus, where she plays Mook, a health guru working at the Thailand branch of the hotel.
