Ariana Grande soft launches Ricky Alvarez in latest photo dump
Ariana Grande and Ricky Alvarez have seemingly taken their rekindled romance public, with the pop star sharing photos of the two on Instagram.
On Wednesday, Aug. 12, Grande included Alvarez in a photo dump featuring snapshots from her recent days, including affectionate photos of the pair together. Alvarez was also tagged in the post, making their relationship Instagram official after months of speculation.
Grande, 33, and Alvarez, 35, previously dated from 2015 to 2016 after meeting while Alvarez worked as one of her backup dancers during her Honeymoon Tour. The two remained friends after their split.
Rumors of a reconciliation began in June when the former couple were spotted spending time together in Austin, Texas. Alvarez was also seen supporting Grande at several stops of her Eternal Sunshine Tour.
In July, sources told PEOPLE magazine that Grande and Alvarez were “hanging out recently” and had reconnected. A source also described Alvarez as dependable, trustworthy, and supportive, adding that Grande feels she can be herself around him.
The pair's reunion also caught fans' attention during Grande's tour. While performing “Thank U, Next,” a song that famously references Alvarez among her former partners, Grande made changes to the lyrics that appeared to hint at their renewed relationship.
Grande's latest post comes as she continues her "Eternal Sunshine Tour," which is scheduled to conclude in September. She has also announced plans to take a break from the public eye after the tour.
