Chris Evans confirms marriage to Alba Baptista

Captain America star Chris Evans officially confirmed that he's married to Alba Baptista. 

During a panel interview at New York City Comic Con on Saturday, Oct. 14, the 42-year-old actor revealed that they tied the knot twice as he showed off his wedding ring. 

"I got married," he told the audience, adding that the wedding ceremonies—one held in Portugal and another in a private home in Cape Cod, Massachusetts—were both “wonderful and beautiful."

“It’s a lot planning a wedding. For those of you who are married, you know it takes a lot out of you," he said. 

“But now that we're through that, we've just been enjoying life, gearing up for autumn, my favorite season. Now we're just relaxing and enjoying life and reflecting," he continued. 

Evans sparked marriage rumors with Baptista in early September, when an insider disclosed to media outlets that they had an intimate wedding, saying that guests were asked to sign NDAs and surrender their phones to keep the affair private. 

The couple went Instagram official in January this year with a video compilation of them scaring each other in 2022. They also shared a sweet couple of snaps on Valentine’s Day the following month. 

In November 2022, PEOPLE reported that they had already been dating for more than a year. “They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her,” an insider told the outlet at the time.

Evans is best known for his role as Captain America in different films by the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Baptista, meanwhile, is best known for her character in the Netflix series Warrior Nun.
