LOOK: Iza Calzado puts on her Sang'gre-inspired costume for a maternity shoot
Iza Calzado channeled her iconic Sang'gre role as she posed for her maternity shoot.
The 40-year-old actress and soon-to-be mom paid homage to her character, Sang'gre Amihan, from GMA’s 2005 fantasy series Encantadia in a series of photos shot by celebrity photographer BJ Pascual. She was styled by Katrina Cruz and John Karunungan.
In one post, Iza flexed her baby bump in a white ruffled wrap top by Mark Bumgarner and white skirt by Syne.
She captioned the post: "Divine Feminine. Divine Power. Divine Purpose."
She then shared photos of her Encantadia-inspired look—an embellished corset with glittery maxi skirt from Jaz Cerezo. She also wore a headpiece by Jacatel.
"She's giving Sang'gre vibes," she wrote.
Several celebrities including Jessy Mendiola, Danica Pingris, Isabelle Daza showed love by leaving emojis and sweet messages on the comments section.
In another post, she and husband Ben Wintle asked for support as they enter a new chapter of their lives. She added that she will be taking a break from social media to focus on motherhood "and experience its joys and challenges."
"We are so excited to meet you and hug you, little one! You are so loved," she noted.
