This virtual tour guide takes you on a trip to the filming locations of your favorite K-dramas
Have you ever wondered where is the exact beach where Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s Lee Junho told Attorney Woo Youngwoo that he’s on her side? Or the New York-inspired spot where A Business Proposal’s Shin Hari “met” Kang Taemu on a rainy day?
Choosing the perfect location is crucial in a K-drama. After all, it is the spot where heartfelt confessions, heart-wrenching breakups, wholesome barkada moments, and a character ultimately gets a wake-up call are made.
Enter Korean Drama Filming Locations, a “virtual tour guide” that takes fans on a trip to where K-drama magic is created. The Instagram page shares beautiful photos of familiar K-drama locations while providing bite-sized information.
For starters, the aesthetically-pleasing Woo Young Woo Kimbab restaurant in Extraordinary Attorney Woo is located at Kajaguruma Restaurant in Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
However, the restaurant doesn’t sell kimbap. Only flavorful Japanese dishes. The page also shared that all items “sell early without notice.”
Aside from Extraordinary Attorney Woo, the page also found the locations of the titular scenes in the following K-dramas:
In the fourth episode of Big Mouth, Go Miho (Im Yoona) asks for help from Gucheon Mayor Choi Doha (Kim Joohun) to find her husband Park Changho (Lee Jongsuk) in a tree-filled spot.
The page has also found the exact location where Hari (Kim Sejeong) invented a story of how she met her boss Taemu (Ahn Hyoseop) in New York on the third episode of A Business Proposal. It turns out that “New York” is located at the City Hall of Gyeonggi English Village.
The virtual tour guide also took fans on a trip around Hosu Woman’s University’s female dormitory in Snowdrop where Im Sooho (Jung Haein) and Eun Youngro’s (Jisoo) heartbreaking love story began. The dormitory is actually the Sun Moon University-Cheonan Campus located in Samryong-do, South Korea.
Meanwhile, the kilig “falling” scene between Yoon Hyejin (Shin Minah) and Hong Banjang (Kim Seonho) in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha was filmed at the cliff along Samjeong Sam-ri Breakwater in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea.
Korean Drama Filming Locations also features filming locations from Our Beloved Summer, Cafe Mimandang, Yumi’s Cells, Nevertheless, Squid Game, and My Name, among others.
