Heart Evangelista makes Paris Fashion Week comeback with her 'momager'
Heart Evangelista slips back into haute couture as she gives glimpses of her return to Paris Fashion Week this January along with a VIP companion: her "momager" Cecilia Ongpauco.
The duo made their playful announcement on Monday, Jan. 19, through a video similar to the teaser trailer of The Devil Wears Prada 2. Set against Madonna's Vogue are clips of Evangelista getting glammed up, being photographed by paparazzi on Parisian streets, and selecting outfits. The video ends with Ongpauco and Evangelista sharing an elevator, copying Meryl Streep's Miranda Priestly and Anne Hathaway's Andy Sachs.
"Momager has entered the chat. Welcome to #PFW," Evangelista wrote in the caption using the hashtag #ParisFashionWeek.
This would mark Evangelista's return to the premier global fashion event after skipping last season's Fashion Week.
Last Sept. 23, Evangelista announced via Instagram Live that she would be skipping the Spring/Summer 2026 collection fashion shows. Her decision came amid the public's increased scrutiny of political families and how they flaunt their wealth on social media. Evangelista was not spared the backlash.
"I don’t think it’s the right time for anyone to, especially from our country, to be going to Fashion Week because I think we need to be here," Evangelista said two days after the first Trillion Peso March where Filipinos demanded an end to widespread government corruption. “Not necessarily to be in the rally… but it’s important that we open our eyes, and we truly become one and empathize and really see what’s going on, and see what we can do."
“And so, I will not be going to Fashion Week. If I’ll be going, maybe, the next season, I think it depends, but I can’t stop working," she added at the time.
