James Van Der Beek is selling some of his memorabilia to help cover costs for his cancer treatment.

The catalog includes several items from the series Dawson's Creek. Fans will have a chance to own the necklace Dawson Leery (Van Der Beek) gifted to Joey Potter (Katie Holmes) for prom, which is estimated to fetch anywhere from £20,000 to £40,000 (P1.5 million to P3 million). Also available is Dawson's pilot episode outfit —an orange-colored flannel shirt—expected to bring in up to nearly £1,000 to £2,000 (P77,548 to P155,096).

It also features items from the 1999 film Varsity Blues, including the actor's cleats and a West Canaan Coyotes Hat.

“I’ve been storing these treasures for years, waiting for the right time to do something with them, and with all of the recent unexpected twists and turns life has presented recently, it’s clear that the time is now,” Van Der Beek told People.

“While I have some nostalgia tugging at me as I part with these items, it feels good to be able to offer them through Propstore’s auction to share with those who have supported my work over the years,” he continued.

The auction will be from Dec. 5 to 7 at Propstore’s Winter Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction.

Last month, Van Der Beek surprised fans by sending a pre-recorded video message to the Dawson's Creek reunion, held at the Richard Rodgers Theater in New York. The charity event, which featured cast members like Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes, and Joshua Jackson, raised money for F Cancer and the Van Der Beek Foundation

Van Der Beek first opened up about his cancer diagnosis in 2024, sharing that he has been "privately dealing with this diagnosis and have been taking steps to resolve it, with the support of my incredible family."

Even with cancer, he continued to work in film and TV series like Walker and Sidelined: The QB and Me. He is also prioritizing his time with his wife and their kids, Olivia, Joshua, Annabel, Emilia, Gwendolyn, and Jeremiah.
