'The Glory' star Kim Hieora transforms in latest magazine photoshoot
Korean actress Kim Hieora surprised her followers on Instagram as she revealed her new bleached pixie-cut hair.
Posing for Allure Korea, Hieora gave plenty of dark feminine energy, as she dressed in black and red sophisticated clothing and bold red lip.
Apart from revealing her new look, the 33-year-old actress also shared how she got Lee Sa-ra's chacter in The Glory and what her dream roles are.
In the series, Lee Sa-ra is one of Dong-eun's (Song Hye-kyo) high school bullies along with Jeon Jae-eun (Park Sung Hoon), Choi Hye-jeong (Cha Joo Yeong), Son Myeong-o (Kim Gun-woo), and Park Yeon-jin (Lim Ji-yeon) who serves as the group’s leader.
According to her, she didn't have any idea about the role she was auditioning for nor did she expect to be casted in the new Netflix series.
“I didn’t have much information about my role during the audition so I just did my best," she said.
Heiora, who plays a drug addict and an artist, said she showed the casting directors a painting that she made as a hobby during her second audition.
"I left after the audition but then quickly received the script that day. I burst into tears because I was so happy.”
Further detailing her casting experience for the series, Hieora talked about how she was encouraged by the series’ writer Kim Eun Sook, telling her that she has the “eyes of Sa-ra that she had imagined (while writing the script).”
She also shared how she was supported and trusted by the series’ director, Ahn Gil Ho in preparation for the role: “Just be yourself. You just have to do whatever you’d like,” said Gil Ho to Hieora.
“Thanks to them, I was able to effortlessly and joyfully become Sa-ra,” said Hieora, believing that she is one “lucky actor.”
Looking forward to her career after The Glory, she said she wanted to try acting in a period drama.
“I would like to try (acting in) a periodic drama and would like to try my hand in (acting out) a very Korean role. I want to enjoy myself, as I am, a little longer,” she said, adding, “I want to try various (roles) afforded to me because I am a supporting actor. I want to greet audiences through great projects for a long time.”
Prior to her role in The Glory, Hieora has appeared in various hit Korean dramas, such as Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Bad and Crazy, and Beyond Evil.
