MrBeast ties the knot with content creator Thea Booysen: 'I found MrsBeast'
MrBeast has found his "MrsBeast!"
The YouTube star, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, delighted fans when he announced on his social media platforms that he had tied the knot with content creator Thea Booysen in a weeklong wedding that began on July 14.
"I found MrsBeast, and it was the best day of my life," he captioned the post.
In the photos, the happy couple was all smiles as they celebrated their special day. Donaldson wore a dapper white tuxedo jacket paired with a black bow tie and black trousers, while Booysen radiated in an elegant lace gown with intricate floral patterns.
According to PEOPLE, the wedding was attended by 70 friends and family members and was held in a 74-acre private island resort.
The couple's love story began in 2022 when Donaldson crossed paths with Booysen during his trip to South Africa. A mutual friend invited Booysen to a dinner with Donaldson, where the two first met.
"When I met him, I was quite surprised how down-to-earth he was, and also how intelligent he was,” Booysen shared. “I thought YouTubers were just sort of a persona, but when I met him, I was quite surprised to see that he’s actually a nice guy. He wasn’t sitting there with an ego.”
Donaldson meanwhile highlighted how they "vibed instantly" and got closer due to their love for learning. After he returned to the US, he decided to reach out to Booysen on X, and the two entered a long-distance relationship a month later.
Now that they're married, Booysen told PEOPLE that the wedding was actually "just a formality."
"Ever since we started dating, we’ve been doing it with the goal of marriage. The difference is now the world knows we’re married, but we’ll still come home to our house and dogs and cats, and then we’re off to our next adventure!" she said.
"Jimmy really went out of his way to make all the guests super comfortable and feel included, and got to know my extended family, and it was all so incredibly special. It just made me love him all the more," she added.
With more than 508 million subscribers, Donaldson's main channel is the most subscribed on YouTube. He is also the third-most-followed account on TikTok.
His videos mostly revolve around large-scale challenges, philanthropy, and elaborate giveaways, often featuring hundreds of participants competing for cash prizes or unique experiences.
