LOOK: Music artists rock the MYX Music Awards 2024 in streetwear
The Philippines’ most celebrated hitmakers made sure to embody everything hip and happening through fashion as they graced this year’s MYX Music Awards.
The award show returned for its 17th edition on Nov. 21 after a three-year hiatus to honor both international and local acts who have stood out in their contributions to the music industry through their songs and music videos.
But the event wasn't just for music lovers as the red carpet was a feast for the eyes, with stylish attendees pushing the boundaries of fashion with their trendy streetwear looks.
Alexa Ilacad and KD Estrada are a match made in heaven. Alexa stunned the red carpet wearing a white off-shoulder mini dress with matching gloves that made her sparkle like the star she is, while KD came in a black sheer fabric top and baggy pants underneath a cool, blue jacket.
Also among those who stood out was Chloe San Jose in her black top and skirt underneath a white racer jacket. Adding flair to her look were her knee-high boots that were covered in glittering embellishments.
Independent R&B artist Demi Chelsy also took our breaths away in her shiny bandeau top and black skirt that she elevated with an artistic coat and necklace that she personalized with her name.
MYX Philippines video jockey Sam Alvero incorporated a sleek and powerful persona as she donned a sheer asymmetric top and high-waisted tri-colored denim jeans.
TJ Monterde was one stylish fellow as he walked the red carpet in an all-black outfit comprised of a ruffled coat and pants.
Of course, no music event would be complete without the King of Pinoy Rap himself, Gloc-9. The singer-songwriter showed he is just as charming in the fashion scene as he is with music, wearing a classic denim jacket and cap.
Ice Seguerra meanwhile kept things simple in a long-sleeved army jacket.
Alternative pop superstar Maki also owned the night in a dazzling all-white ensemble that made him instantly stand out. He added a pop of color to his outfit with some shades of bold yellow hue.
Over October's members—Joshua Buizon, Joshua Caleb Lua, Joric Canlas, Janessa Geronimo, and Anton Rodriguez—proved their flair for style with their coordinated white outfits, each with a distinctive touch.
This year's MYX Awards saw exciting performances from the likes of Denise Julia, Nameless Kids, Over October, Alamat, and BGYO. Among the presenters were Maymay Entrata, Regine Velasquez, BINI members Maloi and Jhoanna, and Elijah Canlas.
