Enrique Gil says he and Liza Soberano are still together: 'We're just super busy'
Enrique Gil shut down breakup rumors anew, saying that he and Liza Soberano are still together and just have busy schedules.
The actor was asked about his relationship status in an interview with ABS-CBN's Gretchen Fullido. "Tinatanong nga ng lahat, ano na ba, hindi pa ba [broken up]?" the entertainment news host asked.
"We're happy. We're just really busy," the actor said.
"I think we just realized na in life, parang we shouldn't always be centered around each other. We can do more, grow more, achieve more. And it just makes us better," he added.
The 31-year-old actor was also asked about his plans for the coming Valentine's Day, which he said he'll spend with his mom as Liza will be in the US promoting Lisa Frankenstein.
Enrique has been working on his showbiz comeback, I Am Not Big Bird, a comedy where the actor's character is mistaken by Thailand locals as an adult film star.
Meanwhile, Liza has been busy in the United States with Lisa Frankenstein.
Liza's film is premiering on February 9 while I Am Not Big Bird hits theaters on February 14.
Rumors about the couple's breakup broke out in May 2023 as Liza's former talent manager Ogie Diaz claimed that they had split over her "choice" to pursue a Hollywood career.
Liza talked about Enrique in September 2023, saying that they were both busy with their own projects and that she's proud of him. The actress added that they do try to hang out despite their schedules.
