Catriona Gray, Sam Milby spotted together at an event, dispelling separation rumors
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and her fiancé, actor Sam Milby, were seen attending an industry event supporting their friend and fellow celebrity Isabel Oli, subtly ending rumors of a possible breakup.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, Feb. 24, the couple were among the guests of Isabel's trade-launch gathering event at BSK Club Manila in Taguig.
Together with Isabel and her husband, John Prats, Catriona and Sam were seated beside each other while the former wrapped her arm around Isabel.
The IG carousel came after talent manager and showbiz insider Ogie Diaz claimed in his vlog that the couple had split but remained friends, according to his anonymous source.
"Wala na sila. Noong birthday ni Catriona Gray wala na sila, pero magkaibigan na lamang daw," said the talent manager, highlighting that he will only believe what his source say when Catriona and Sam confirm it themselves.
Likewise, Ogie previously said in a Feb. 8 episode of his showbiz vlog that their manager, Erickson Raymundo, firmly denied the allegations.
"Sabi sa akin ng ng aking source, 'oh sige hintayin nalang natin, baka mali ako, sana nga mali ako,'" Ogie shared while saying that he saw the beauty queen wasn’t wearing her engagement ring in a recent event.
Rumors have been circulating about the split of the engaged couple coming to light after some eagle-eyed netizens noticed that the beauty queen wasn't wearing her engagement ring in her recent photos.
However, Catriona immediately shut down those speculations over an IG post earlier this month.
In the post, Catriona uploaded photos that seemed like a weekend staycation with their furbabies and Sam, whom she tagged in two of the "little adventure" snaps.
Moreover, Sam also threw Catriona a debut-like 30th birthday party on Saturday, Jan. 6
Sam first went "Instagram official" with Catriona on his birthday in 2020. They got engaged in February 2023 and are set to say their "I do's" this year.
