Song Joong-ki is Louis Vuitton's newest ambassador
Hallyu star Song Joong-ki has been captivating hearts worldwide through and through. The latest addition to those enamored of his charm is none other than French fashion powerhouse Louis Vuitton.
On Wednesday, May 24, Louis Vuitton announced that the Descendants of the Sun star is the latest addition to their clique of South Korean ambassadors.
In the first portrait released by the company, Song Joong-ki looks dapper in a Louis Vuitton Monogram Shibori Napolitana co-ord set paired with a white Louis Vuitton Ornaments leather coat. The ensemble was launched during the brand's Spring-Summer 2023 show held in June of last year.
In a press release sent to Korean media outlets, Louis Vuitton said that its partnership with the South Korean star comes as he "ceaselessly continues his adventure and attempts in acting."
The announcement was released as Song Joong-ki is set to make his Cannes Film Festival debut today, May 25, for the screening of his upcoming movie Hopeless. The noir film is directed by Kim Chang-hoon and is set for theatrical release later this year.
The film is expected to be among Song Joong-ki's most notable projects, which include Descendants of the Sun, The Battleship Island, Vicenzo, and Reborn Rich.
Prior to collaborating with Louis Vuitton, the Korean heartthrob represented the causal Korean clothing line TOPTEN10 as its ambassador. His collaboration with Louis Vuitton follows the brand's partnership with K-pop idols J-hope of BTS and Hyein of NewJeans for its 2023-2024 collections.
