Ivana Alawi gives mom P2 million as Mother's Day gift
Ivana Alawi surprised her mom Fatima with P2 million cash in celebration of Mother's Day.
As seen on her YouTube vlog, the actress and model showed her appreciation to her mother by bringing her and the rest of her family to Pampanga for a fun fishing trip at a farm.
But it came with a twist: For every fish that Fatima caught, she received P200,000. She managed to catch 10, bringing the total to P2 million.
"Kailangan talaga nating suklian ang kabutihan ng ating mga ina. Hindi ko sinasabing magbigay kayo ng ilang milyon or whatever. Kung paano po kayo magmahal, kung ano ang malapit sa puso niyo, make sure to make your mom feel special today—every day," Ivana said.
"Habang nandito sila sa ating mundo, dapat talaga pinapahalagahan natin sila, and dapat iniingatan natin sila, kung ano 'yung care na binigay nila sa'tin nung tayo ay bata ay suklian naman natin sila," she added.
Ivana then praised her mom for working hard and taking care of them since they were children.
"Sobrang tutok siya sa'min, inalagaan niya kami noong mga bumabagsak ako na moments," she said.
At first, Fatima seemed to struggle with the game, but she eventually succeeded in catching 10 fish with the help of Ivana and her siblings, Mona and Hash.
Once they were finished, Fatima was asked to pick from a bowl of folded papers that had a cash prize written on them, and was pleasantly surprised when she learned that she won the P2 million amount.
Apart from this, she also received a pair of white shoes from Mona, a bouquet of flowers and chocolates from Amira, a box of cupcakes, and a luggage from Hash that contained her P2 million win.
After the game, Fatima gave a message to her fellow mothers. "Keep up the good work kasi alam kong pinakamahirap na trabaho ang nanay. Basta itanim niyo lang nang maganda, maganda rin ang ani."
Ivana meanwhile reminded her viewers, "'Yung pagbabalik ng pagmamahal sa ina, walang katumbas 'yun, so whether P10,000, P5,000, kung ano ang galing sa puso niyo."
"Si mama kasi, nandoon siya nung walang wala ako, nung hindi ako nakukuha sa mga pag-aartista," she added.
Back in 2021, the content creator also gave her mother P1 million for her birthday.
