South Korean actor Song Jae Rim passes away at 39
South Korean actor Song Jae-rim was found dead in his home. He was 39.
According to multiple reports, the actor, who appeared in dramas such as Moon Embracing the Sun, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Seoul Seongdong Police Station said that a friend, who was scheduled to meet him for lunch, discovered his lifeless body in his apartment.
While the cause of death remains under investigation, authorities have ruled out foul play.
Yonhap News said the actor's family wishes to hold a small funeral involving family members only at the Yeouido St. Mary's Funeral Hall in Seoul.
Jae-rim's career took off in 2012 with his role in the hit MBC drama The Moon Embracing the Sun. This breakout performance led to roles in popular TV series like Cool Guys, Hot Ramen; Inspiring Generation; Two Weeks; and Queen Woo.
He also made appearances on the big screen with films like Grand Prix, The Suspect, and Bait.
