'Reborn Rich' confirmed for Season 2
The hit K-drama Reborn Rich, known for its gripping tale of revenge within a powerful chaebol family, is officially returning for a second season.
The production of the second season will be a collaborative effort: Artist Company will handle the planning and creative side, and Artist Studio will manage the on-the-ground production. Both entities operate under the Artist Group, where notable shareholders include Squid Game actor Lee Jung-jae and actor Jung Woo-sung.
“This project is being developed as a strategic piece of content aimed at the global market. From the early planning stages, we have been crafting storylines and characters with emotional resonance for international audiences,” a representative from Artist Company said.
Meanwhile, Artist Studio added, “Leveraging our expertise in IP-based production, we are dedicating our full efforts to ensure Season 2 surpasses the success of its predecessor.”
The first season, which aired on JTBC in 2022 and peaked at 26.9% viewership, revolved around Yoon Hyun-woo (Song Joong-ki), a devoted secretary reincarnated as Jin Do-jun, the youngest heir of the family that wronged him.
However, the upcoming season promises something different, extending its reach beyond Korean conglomerates to introduce new characters.
The return of Joong-ki remains unconfirmed.
