'Baka maiyak ako': Sarah Geronimo says she wanted G-Force at her concert amid 'artistic differences'

Sarah Geronimo expressed regrets that her longtime choreographer Georcelle Dapat-Sy and dance group G-Force weren't part of her 20th anniversary concert—amid reported "artistic differences" between them.

On the sidelines of her latest endorsement's launch on May 16, the pop superstar told ABS-CBN News that Dapat-Sy and G-Force have been a huge part of her career.

"It would have been more magical if they were there," she is quoted as saying. "I wanted them to be there to celebrate my 20 years with me. Baka maiyak ako."

Her comments came on the heels of Teacher Georcelle's pronouncements in a guesting over Ogie Diaz's vlog uploaded on May 15.

During her 20th anniversary concert last May 12, the singer performed her hit song Tala with new dance steps compared to the one that has since taken social media by storm.

Teacher Georcelle and G-Force were also conspicuously absent in the concert, and Sarah took the stage with the groups UPeepz and A-Team instead.

In the vlog, the choreographer revealed that there were "artistic differences" between G-Force and Sarah, which made her decide to back out of the concert in March.

She noted they've been working with the "Popstar Royalty" for 16 years, and that the 35-year-old artist is simply looking for growth. Still, she said she's supportive of Sarah, "even if it means stepping out for a while."

The performer also gave G-Force a shoutout during her concert's closing remarks.

Sarah G rose to fame in 2003 after winning the singing competition Star for a Night. She has since become a popular singer, as well as an actress.
