Filipino actress Dawn Zulueta is eyeing legal action against those who made fake endorsements and fabricated photos purportedly associated with her.

On Instagram, the 55-year-old local actress wrote a lengthy post regarding the incident.

"It has come to my attention that there are false endorsement and fabricated photos being circulated on the internet purportedly associated with me," she began.

"I want to make it abundantly clear to all of my followers and the public that unless explicitly shared on my official accounts, any content bearing my name or likeness is unequivocally fake," Dawn continued while urging her followers to be mindful of what they see on social media.

"I urge everyone to exercise caution and critical thinking when encountering such content. The dissemination of misinformation not only harms my reputation but also deceives those who trust and follow my work."

Although the actress didn't mention the endorsements she is referring to, Dawn noted that "further propagation of these falsities will not be tolerated," hence, "legal actions will be pursued against those involved in the creation, distribution, or perpetuation of these deceitful materials."

Dawn concluded her post by saying that collective action against the spread of false information is vital to uplift "integrity and authenticity online."

"I sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Let us collectively strive to combat the spread of false information and uphold integrity and authenticity online."

Dawn, wife of Special Assistant to the President Anton Lagdameo Jr., is best known for her roles in local films, including Una Kang Naging Akin (1991), Walang Hanggan (2012), The Love Affair (2015), and Love Me Tomorrow (2016), among others.

She won Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress during the 1992 FAMAS Awards.
