Talk about dedication: Ryza Cenon goes bald for new movie project
Ryza Cenon showed her dedication to her role in her upcoming movie by going completely bald—for real.
The actress, in a YouTube video released on Friday, June 21, shared some clips of her getting her head shaved for her new film dubbed Lilim.
“Gagawin na natin ‘yung big decision ko ngayon na magpashave ng hair. Not just shave, but skinhead talaga,” she said in her vlog as she entered the salon.
“Para sa character naman ito. Ganun talaga ako kacommitted na character, so game,” she added.
Ryza said buzzing off her hair used to be part of her bucket list. “Pangarap kong magpakalbo. Sinabi ko, ‘pag buntis ako, magpapakalbo ako but nung buntis ako, hindi ako pinayagan,” she recalled. “Ito na ‘yung chance ko eh.”
The local star shared some photos showing more of her new look on Instagram after releasing her vlog. "Sino ka dyan? Hahahah," she captioned her post.
Director Mikhail Red, on Instagram, also gave a look at Ryza as Helena in the film. “Coming soon to cinemas,” he wrote in the caption.
According to Viva Films, Lilim is Red's newest horror film. Written by Nikolas Red, the upcoming offering also stars Heaven Peralejo, Eula Valdez, Nicole Omillo, Phoebe Walker, Mon Confiado, Rafa Siguion-Reyna, Gold Aceron, and Skywalker David.
